The perm brunch was a HUGE success. The donations were bountiful, the quiche was Padma Lakshmi worthy, and I now have curly hair! The perm was revealed to the world at about 5:30pm EST to quite possibly the loudest applause for a hair style ever. It's a little too early to tell how life is different with curly hair. Will people expect me to smash watermelons at parties? Will they ask me where my tenor sax is? These are all things that I will report in the coming days. Donations keep pouring in as we anxiously await the Perm Therm Level to read McConaughey!
Although my head is the mascot of this campaign, behind the scenes, working just as hard is my lovely "companion" (girlfriend) Sandy Hyun. Through the conception of Male Perm, it's been Sandy who's great ideas and forward thinking have pushed us to think on a larger scale and set our fundraising goals higher. While I was sitting in the perm chair having my hair rolled into curlers and beer brought to me by friends, Sandy was hard a work cooking quiche, frying up bacon, making coffee, and doing some serious hosting. THANK YOU SANDY!!!!
We are so proud to be a part of this project. Your support for Jenny has moved us beyond words. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You!
Please read the most amazing NY Times article ever written.

Thank you to the Perm Master Amelia Nelson. This would not have happened without your steady, precis and gentle touch.
Special thanks to photographer Casey Kelbaugh for pitching this story to the NY times and to reporter Cara Buckly for her eloquent words.
